Giants Create $5.84 Million in Cap Space by Restructuring Jevon Holland's Contract

The Giants converted $11.685 million of safety Jevon Holland's 2026 salary into a signing bonus before Sunday night's game against the Cowboys, creating $5.84 million in cap space, Over the Cap's Jason Fitzgerald reported Monday.
The team added no void years, so the $5.84 million is charged to 2027. Holland's cap number that season is now $24.7 million.
Over the Cap lists the Giants with $12,728,224 in 2026 space against 76 players counted. Spotrac puts it at $13,013,331 and lists Holland's 2026 cap hit at $12,676,472, fifth-highest on the roster. Holland is in the second year of a three-year, $45.3 million contract.
Dan Duggan of The Athletic wrote before the restructure that the Giants had "enough breathing room to operate," and that they have traditionally waited until they needed space to restructure. He wrote that Holland's $12.9 million base salary pays out at about $716,000 a week, so the amount available to convert shrinks as the season goes on.
Pat Leonard of the New York Daily News posted that he saw Holland "walking into the building to do this" last week.
Holland had two tackles, a pass breakup and an interception of Dak Prescott in the 28-20 win.
