The Giants are trading a 2028 seventh-round pick to the Baltimore Ravens for defensive tackle C.J. Okoye, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport and Mike Garafolo reported Saturday morning. Rapoport posted the report on X:

The move comes one day before the Giants must cut their roster to 53 players by Sunday's 6 p.m. deadline. New York's interior defensive line has been a weak spot through training camp and the preseason, even with 11 defensive linemen on the roster heading into cutdown, Big Blue View reported.

It's the third trade in two weeks in which the Giants have sent a Day 3 pick out for a roster move. They dealt offensive lineman Joshua Ezeudu to the Kansas City Chiefs for a 2028 pick and offensive lineman Daniel Faalele to the Jacksonville Jaguars for a 2027 pick.

Okoye, 24, is listed at 6-foot-6, 365 pounds. He entered the NFL through the league's International Player Pathway Program, which develops players from outside the United States. He appeared in 13 games for the Ravens last season, recording 15 tackles over 214 defensive snaps. He recovered a fumble on the Commanders' first offensive play in Baltimore's preseason finale this week. The NFL published full highlights of that game on its YouTube channel:
