Nabers says shoulder X-ray showed 'good results'
The Giants receiver, who popped his shoulder out and returned during Monday's loss to the Rams, was limited in Wednesday's practice. He said Thursday he expects to be fine for Sunday's game against the Titans.
Malik Nabers said Thursday that X-rays on his injured shoulder came back with "good results," three days after it popped out of place during the Giants' Monday night loss to the Rams.
"Good results. I'm smiling. I'm out there playing, catching the ball. So good results," Nabers said, according to video posted by SNY. Asked about his outlook for Sunday, he said, "I'll be fine."
Ryan Dunleavy of the New York Post and ESPN's Jordan Raanan independently reported the same quotes within about 40 minutes of each other.
Nabers popped his own shoulder back into place during Monday's game and returned to the field, he said after the game, according to SNY. He was a limited practice participant Wednesday, according to the Giants' official injury report, alongside left tackle Andrew Thomas (groin). Outside linebacker Brian Burns (ankle) did not practice.
Coach John Harbaugh said Wednesday of the shoulder: "It looks good. I think he's going to be OK. It looks pretty good," according to Raanan.
The Giants had not issued Nabers a game-status designation for Sunday's game against the Titans as of Thursday. Teams typically release final injury designations Friday.
