Giants Practice Report: Burns, Thomas No-Shows Thursday; Banks Progresses
ESPN's Jordan Raanan and the New York Post's Ryan Dunleavy each reported independently that Burns and Thomas were absent from the open portion of practice; the Giants had not posted their own Thursday designations as of this writing.
Brian Burns and Andrew Thomas were not seen at the open portion of the Giants' Thursday practice, according to two independent beat reporters, while cornerback Deonte Banks returned to individual drills.
ESPN's Jordan Raanan reported that Burns (ankle) and Thomas (groin) were absent from the open, media-access portion of practice, and that Banks (calf) was back in individual drills.
The New York Post's Ryan Dunleavy reported separately, within the same minute, that there was "no sign" of Thomas or Burns at practice, calling it "bad news," and in a follow-up post wrote that Banks was "involved in individuals," calling it "good news."
Both reporters were describing what they saw during the portion of practice open to media, not the Giants' official practice report, which the team compiles after the full session and posts separately.
The Giants' most recent official injury report, from Wednesday, listed Burns (ankle) as a non-participant, and Thomas (groin) and Banks (calf) as limited participants. As of Thursday afternoon, giants.com's injury report page had not been updated with Thursday's designations.
