Overview
Jon Runyan Jr. signed a two-year, $22 million extension with the Giants on Sept. 7, 2026, that includes $21.5 million in guarantees and runs through 2028. The deal, signed days before the season opener, replaced the final year of the three-year, $30 million contract he signed as a free agent from Green Bay in 2024.
Green Bay drafted Runyan in the sixth round in 2020, and he started 50 of 67 games there. He has started every game he has played for the Giants since arriving, including a return from a December 2024 ankle injury that required surgery, and started all 13 games he played in 2025.
Runyan is the Giants' starting left guard on a line that also includes left tackle Andrew Thomas, center John Michael Schmitz, rookie Francis Mauigoa and right tackle Jermaine Eluemunor.
