Andrew Thomas full go in Friday practice; Brian Burns still on the side, unlikely for Titans
Harbaugh said official game-status designations were coming later Friday; as of this report, the Giants' and Titans' injury pages still listed every player's status as unspecified.
Andrew Thomas was a full participant in the Giants' Friday practice, an upgrade from Thursday's non-participation, Giants coach John Harbaugh told reporters. Brian Burns worked off to the side rather than practicing as he continues rehabbing an ankle injury.
Harbaugh said, "They're all trying to get back" and "have a chance," but the team will have to see what happens Sunday, according to giants.com's Week 3 Tracker, updated 1:12 p.m. ET Friday. Burns was doing "rehab on the side," the site reported; Harbaugh said game-status designations would come out "later this afternoon."
Thomas is expected to be ready to play Sunday against the Titans, SNY's Danny Abriano reported. Burns, who hasn't practiced since spraining his ankle Sept. 21 against the Rams, "doesn't seem likely" to play in Week 3 barring a surprise, per SNY. ESPN's Jordan Raanan independently reported on X that Thomas "was back at practice," calling it a "good sign," and confirmed Burns did not practice.
Malik Nabers, a full participant in Thursday's practice after injuring his shoulder against the Rams, is on track for Sunday, SNY reported.
As of 2:20 p.m. ET (18:20 UTC) Friday, giants.com's official injury report still listed every player's game status as unspecified, and its table had not yet been updated with Friday's practice column. The Titans' official injury report was similarly unchanged. Designations were expected later Friday.
