Giants Beat Titans 12-7 Without a Touchdown, Their First Such Win Since 2013
NFL teams that don't score a touchdown have won 17 of 157 games since 2022, and 13 of those wins came when opponents scored 10 points or fewer.
The Giants beat the Tennessee Titans 12-7 on Sunday at MetLife Stadium without scoring a touchdown. It was their first win without one since Oct. 27, 2013, when Josh Brown kicked five field goals in a 15-7 win at Philadelphia.
In between, the Giants played 20 games without a touchdown and lost all 20.
Dominic Zvada made field goals of 39, 27, 39 and 30 yards. The Giants reached the red zone twice and settled for field goals both times, once after getting to the Tennessee 5 and once after getting to the 2. Jameis Winston completed 14 of 22 passes for 118 yards with no touchdowns or interceptions and was sacked three times for 18 yards. The Giants ran for 138 yards. Tennessee's only touchdown came with 5:39 left, and Jevón Holland intercepted a pass with 24 seconds left.
It was also the Giants' second straight game without a touchdown. Their last touchdown came in the Week 1 win over Dallas.
The Giants' record without a touchdown
Since 1999, the Giants are 4-32 in games in which they scored no touchdowns on offense, defense or special teams. That is 4-30 in the regular season and 0-2 in the playoffs. Before Sunday they were 0-9 in such games since the start of 2022.
In all four wins, the kicker made every field-goal attempt and the opponent scored seven points or fewer. Philadelphia's touchdown in the 2013 game came on a fumble return after a botched Giants punt.
How often anyone wins this way
From the start of the 2022 season through Week 3 of 2026, NFL teams played 157 games without scoring a touchdown and won 17 of them, or 10.8%. Three of the 157 were playoff games, all losses; in the regular season alone, the record is 17-137 (11.0%).
There have been eight such games this season. The Giants and Minnesota, which beat Chicago 9-3 in Week 2, are the only teams to win one.

The three wins in the bottom row all came with the winning team kicking six or seven field goals. One of them was against the Giants: Washington made seven field goals in a 21-18 win in Week 2 of 2024, a game in which the Giants scored three touchdowns.
Zvada's six kicks
Zvada is 6 of 6 on field goals this season and 4 of 4 on extra points. His attempts have come from 24, 27, 30, 39, 39 and 52 yards. The two outside Sunday's game were the 24- and 52-yarders in the Week 2 loss to the Los Angeles Rams.
All four of Sunday's kicks were from 27 to 39 yards. League kickers have made 52 of 53 attempts from 30 to 39 yards this season (98.1%). From 2022 through 2025, the rate from that range was 93.6% (1,168 of 1,248).
Applying the 2022-25 league rate for each distance range — including the 50-59-yard rate of 70.9% for the 52-yarder — a kicker with league-average accuracy from those six distances would make all six about 56% of the time.
Tennessee's Joey Slye missed a 59-yard attempt wide left with 46 seconds left in the second quarter. The Giants took over, and Zvada made a 39-yarder with three seconds left for a 9-0 lead.
One-score games scoring 17 or fewer
Since 2022, the Giants are 3-9 in games decided by eight points or fewer in which they scored 17 points or fewer.
League-wide over the same span, teams in that situation are 100-254 (28.2%), compared with the Giants' 25%.
All three Giants wins came when the defense allowed seven points. In five of the nine losses, the Giants' kicker made every field-goal attempt, including a 20-15 loss to Dallas in 2024 with five field goals on five tries and a 14-9 loss at Buffalo in 2023 with three on three.
Points scored and the Arizona game
Since 2022, NFL teams that scored 12 points or fewer in a game — the Giants' total Sunday — are 24-335, with or without a touchdown. When the opponent scored seven or fewer, they went 19-3. When the opponent scored eight or more, they went 5-332.
When the opponent scored 8 to 14 points, teams with no touchdowns went 4-24, teams with one went 49-20 and teams with two or more went 264-1.
Arizona has scored 26, 7 and 30 points in its three games, a 1-2 start that includes a 36-30 loss at San Francisco on Sunday. The Cardinals' defense has allowed 81 points and 11 touchdowns, at least two in each game.
Most wins like Sunday's have come when the defense allowed seven points or fewer — 10 of the 17 no-touchdown wins since 2022. Arizona has been held to seven points or fewer once this season, in the 31-7 loss to Seattle.
