The Jets drafted Pinnock out of Pittsburgh in the fifth round, No. 175 overall, in 2021. The Jets released him Aug. 30, 2022, and the Giants claimed him off waivers the next day. He played 46 games with 37 starts for the Giants from 2022 to 2024, and in 2023 he returned an interception 102 yards for a touchdown against Miami, which tied Erich Barnes' 1961 mark for the longest interception return in franchise history.

With the 49ers in 2025, Pinnock played all 17 games and made seven starts. His career totals include 263 tackles, 6.5 sacks, five forced fumbles and two interceptions. In training camp he competed with Tyler Nubin and Ar'Darius Washington for a starting safety job, SI's Patricia Traina reported. He was inactive for the first two games of 2026, then played 45 of 60 defensive snaps against Tennessee on Sept. 27 with Nubin out.
