Overview
Korie Black is a second-year cornerback from Oklahoma State whom the Giants drafted in the seventh round in 2025. He made the initial 53-man roster that year but was waived a day later, with the Giants planning to bring him back on the practice squad. After clearing waivers, he signed with the Jets' practice squad instead. The Giants signed him off it Oct. 21, 2025, and he played nine games with two starts as a rookie.
Black was hurt in the Giants' 2026 preseason finale against the Jets; the team didn't disclose the injury. On Aug. 30, the Giants placed him on injured reserve with a designation to return, so he must miss at least the first four regular-season games.
