The Giants beat the Houston Texans 27-21 in overtime Sunday in Houston when Devin Singletary ran 30 yards for a touchdown on the third play of the Giants' only overtime possession.
Houston received the overtime kickoff and punted after three plays. Malik Nabers caught a 9-yard pass from J.J. McCarthy on the Giants' first play, Cam Skattebo ran 42 yards to the Houston 30, and Singletary scored on the next snap.
The Texans forced overtime with 57 seconds left in regulation, when C.J. Stroud threw a 3-yard touchdown pass to Xavier Hutchinson to tie the game 21-21. Skattebo had put the Giants ahead 21-14 on a 16-yard touchdown run with 9:03 to play.

"He made throws," coach John Harbaugh said of McCarthy at his postgame news conference. "I'm sure he didn't play perfect, but he played a heck of a football game, and he deserves a lot of credit."
Tyrone Tracy Jr. scored the Giants' first touchdown on a 2-yard run in the first quarter and left in the second quarter with a hamstring injury. The Giants placed him on injured reserve Oct. 27. General manager Joe Schoen said at his bye-week news conference Oct. 27 that the injury would not be long-term.
Jameis Winston scored on a 1-yard run in the second quarter. Dominic Zvada missed field goals of 56 and 44 yards, both wide right.
The win left the Giants 4-2-1 and first in the NFC East. Houston fell to 2-5.
The Giants are off this week. They play next at Philadelphia on Sunday, Nov. 8.
