The Giants ruled out linebacker Tremaine Edmunds (shoulder) and cornerback Greg Newsome II (concussion) for Sunday's game at Houston on their final injury report Friday. Tight end Theo Johnson (neck) is doubtful after missing Friday's practice.

Tackle Andrew Thomas (groin) has no game designation after limited practices Thursday and Friday. Offensive linemen Jermaine Eluemunor (calf) and Marcus Mbow (knee) are questionable; both missed Wednesday's practice and were limited the next two days. The Giants signed offensive lineman Josh Sills off the Colts' practice squad Wednesday. Giants coach John Harbaugh said Friday that Thomas and Eluemunor "should have a good chance to be ready to go." J.J. McCarthy will make his first start for the Giants.

Safeties Jevón Holland (concussion) and Tyler Nubin (neck) are questionable. Cornerback Colton Hood (concussion) practiced fully Thursday and Friday and has no designation. Cornerback Paulson Adebo (knee) is listed as questionable while still on injured reserve. The Giants opened his 21-day practice window Wednesday and had not activated him as of midday Saturday. Harbaugh said Friday that Adebo is ready to play.

Linebacker Micah McFadden is ready to play with Edmunds out, Harbaugh said. "He's a starter, and he'll play really well," he said.

The Texans ruled out running back David Montgomery (groin), tackle Blake Fisher (thumb) and safeties Reed Blankenship (concussion, hand) and Jalen Pitre (shoulder) on their injury report. Wide receiver Tank Dell (knee) is questionable after full practices all week.
