Right tackle Jermaine Eluemunor (calf), safety Tyler Nubin (neck) and cornerback Colton Hood (concussion) are day to day, Giants coach John Harbaugh said Monday, a day after the 27-27 overtime tie at Washington. "They'll have a chance for the game," he said of Sunday's home game against New Orleans. Hood must clear the league's concussion protocol before he can play. Harbaugh said cornerback Greg Newsome II is "fine."

Bryan Hudson will start at center again Sunday. "He played well," Harbaugh said. He added that John Michael Schmitz is still "in the plans" and "could play."

Asked whether the Giants will open the practice window for cornerback Paulson Adebo, on injured reserve since Sept. 18 and eligible to return this week, Harbaugh said, "We'll see."

Harbaugh said he chose to kick the extra point rather than go for two after Isaiah Likely's touchdown cut Washington's lead to 27-19 with 7:20 left, so the Giants could play for overtime if it came to that. "I thought overtime gave us the best chance," he said. "Plus it's a road division game, so the tie isn't the worst thing for the road team."

On Jayden Daniels' running, Harbaugh said the Giants have played "feast or famine run defense" and that the long runs came when "we did not play those right with our rush lanes." All 103 of Daniels' rushing yards came on seven scrambles, our film review found.

Harbaugh credited defensive coordinator Dennard Wilson's blitz packages — "The ability to blitz like that is a big, big plus" — and said the up-tempo offense the Giants used in the second half "probably needs to be part of what we're doing going forward." He said left tackle Andrew Thomas is "just playing through whatever he's got."
